Leaders of the Party and the state of Vietnam have sent thank-you letters and telegrams to leaders of countries, international organizations, political Parties, and international friends for extending condolences over the passing of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong this month.
The thank-you letters and telegrams were sent by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, State President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Luong Cuong, and other leaders of the Party and the state.
They honored the solidarity and support from other countries, partners, political parties, and international friends, expressing gratitude for their affection and condolences over the immense loss suffered by the Party, the state, the people of Vietnam, and the family of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
The Vietnamese leaders expressed their commitment to working with partner countries to fulfill General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's wish of deepening friendship and cooperation, aiming to benefit their peoples and contribute to regional and global peace, cooperation, and prosperity.

Leaders of 103 countries and territories as well as 32 international organizations sent nearly 500 letters, telegrams, and messages of condolence to Vietnam and the family of the late Party leader, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As many as 100 international delegations arrived in Vietnam to pay respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, while more than 3,500 delegations paid tribute to the Vietnamese Party chief at Vietnam's representative agencies abroad.
They extended deep affection, great grief, and immense respect for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, honoring his contributions to Vietnam's development and its relations with international partners.
They also expressed a strong desire to enhance cooperation with Vietnam in all sectors.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong passed away at 1:38 pm on July 19 in Hanoi at the age of 80.
To mourn and commemorate his death, a two-day state funeral was held for him on July 25 and 26.
