COVID-19 Updates
-- The Ministry of Health documented 4,372 local infections, including 2,027 cases in Ho Chi Minh City, on Sunday morning, raising the national tally to 150,060, with 38,734 recoveries and 1,306 deaths.
-- The prime minister issued a document on Saturday requesting authorities in 19 southern provinces and cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, to continue implementing social distancing measures under the PM’s Directive No. 16 for another 14 days from August 2.
-- The Ministry of Health has allocated more than three million COVID-19 vaccine shots to Ho Chi Minh City, which are enough to be administered to 22.3 percent of the city’s citizens who are over 18 years old.
-- The central city of Da Nang began reinstating extensive social distancing measures from 6:00 pm on Saturday to cope with the rising number of local COVID-19 transmissions.
