-- Police in Ho Chi Minh City are hunting for a man who sneaked into an elementary school in Thu Duc City and stole VND15 million (US$640) from many teachers during a flag-salute ceremony on Monday.

-- Thousands of motorbikes and automobiles moved at a snail’s pace through National Highway No. 1 passing Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam due to congestion caused by people heading to their hometowns before the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday on Tuesday afternoon.

-- A spring flower garden was introduced to the public for the first time at the foot of Ngu Hanh Son Mountain in Da Nang to celebrate the 2023 Lunar New Year and promote Ngu Hanh Son as a tourist destination on Tuesday.

-- The Hoan Kiem District People's Committee has agreed to suspend all activities on the pedestrian streets surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake from Friday until February 3 in order to make it easier for locals and tourists to commute during the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday.
