A man entered a bank on National Highway 13 in Binh Duong Province, southern Vietnam on Monday morning and demanded money, but he was overpowered by security guards.
The bank robbery occurred at a Sacombank branch in Lai Uyen Town in Bau Bang District at 11:00 am on the day.
He reportedly used an object which looked like a gun to threaten the bank employees.
When the security guards of the bank closed the door, the man put up a fight and attempted to run away, to little avail.
After being informed of the heist, police officers in Bau Bang District quickly rushed to the scene to investigate the case and arrest the robber, who suffered mild injuries.
The bank was still cordoned off for the investigation at 2:30 pm.
