A 20-year-old Vietnamese student, who is studying literature at the Hue University of Education in Thua Thien-Hue Province, central Vietnam, suffered a stroke while in class on Tuesday morning.

The sophomore, named Pham Thi N., a native of north-central Thanh Hoa Province, was immediately rushed to Hue Central Hospital in the provincial city of Hue where doctors said her prognosis is poor, a school representative said on Tuesday afternoon.

Truong The Quy, who works at the school’s student affairs department, said that representatives of the school came to visit and offer assistance to the student, while waiting for her parents to travel to Hue from Thanh Hoa to take care of their daughter.

Quy added the school is calling for donations to N., whose family is struggling to make ends meet, and hoped that she will recover soon.
