-- Vietnam’s budget air carrier Vietjet on Saturday opened a direct route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Brisbane, the capital of Queensland State in northeastern Australia, making it the first Vietnamese airline to operate a direct air service between Vietnam and the state.

-- Vietnam took the lead at the first Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad as all of its eight students won medals, including four golds and four silvers, the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training informed.
