Four road and bridge projects linking to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City are having their progress accelerated and are expected to be completed in the near future.
Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper found that projects to expand Hoang Hoa Tham Street, which connects Cong Hoa Street to Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s under-construction T3 terminal project, a road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa Streets and a Tan Ky Tan Quy Street section, and a project to build the Tan Ky Tan Quy bridge are under the final phase.
Traffic around the Tan Son Nhat International Airport area is increasingly heavy.
In addition, the T3 terminal of the airport, which will be the largest domestic terminal in Vietnam once completed with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, is near completion and will put higher pressure on traffic infrastructure in the area.

As a result, the acceleration and completion of the four road and bridge projects will contribute to easing traffic congestion, facilitating residents’ travel, and boosting socio-economic and tourism development.
According to the investors of these projects, they can be completed before April 30 next year, or before work on the T3 terminal project finishes.
