While each game at the 2021 VBA Premier Bubble Games - Brought to you by NovaWorld Phan Thiet was an intense battle between opposing teams, the competitors never seemed to lose sight of their admiration and respect for both their teammates and opponents.

Collisions and injuries are inevitable in professional basketball. They are just part of the game. 

But players in the 2021 VBA edition never had to worry about their teammates coming to the rescue when things went wrong.

Such care as well as the determination to strive for the common goal were the important factors that helped boost the solidarity between players on each team.

Saigon Heat’s Tony Hoang once said he considered his team a second family.

“We understand each other's play style and personalities,” Hoang stated.

“We are not only teammates but also brothers.”

One of the most emotional moments of the season came when coach Kevin Yurkus and his players on the Vietnamese national basketball team offered their support and condolences to Richard Nguyen, who lost his aunt during then.

The players at the VBA Premier Bubble Games also displayed great sportsmanship, and 38-year-old Akeem Scoot of Danang Dragons is one of the clear examples.
