The central Vietnamese city of Da Nang is expected to welcome around 60,300 visitors, who will come on 531 flights, during the coming National Day (September 2) holiday.
The 531 flights include 436 domestic and 95 international ones, bringing about 47,000 national and 13,300 foreign visitors to the coastal city between August 31 and September 4, respectively.
The total number of visitors to tourist attractions across the city is expected to increase by about 38 percent during the four-day public holiday from September 1 to 4 compared to the National Day celebration in 2019.
The iconic Ba Na Hills, Asia Park, Nui Than Tai hot spring park, Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot, and Mikazuki 365 Water Park are anticipated to be the most visited places.
Many resorts already reported an occupancy rate of up to 90 percent while that of downtown hotels is about 40-45 percent, according to the Da Nang Department of Tourism.
The department has ordered beach management boards to intensify lifeguard service, public security and order, and environmental sanitation across the city’s beaches.
It is worth noting for tourists that the Ngu Hanh Son attraction, the Asia Park, and all museums managed by the city administration will allow free entrance during the holiday.
The Mikazuki 365 Water Park will offer a 30 percent off ticket prices to all customers.
Besides, the 2022 Da Nang Golf tourism festival, the National Youth Sailing Championship and the 2022 National Clubs SUP Tournament are set to take place in the city during the same period.
In addition, visitors will also be treated to street music, magic, dance and ethnic instrument performances along the two banks of the Han River.
