Four local and international fashion designers staged a showcase of over 100 new designs made out of eco-friendly materials at Reunification Palace in downtown Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday night.
ELLE Fashion Show 2023, themed ‘Interchange of Fashion and Architecture,’ was one of the largest fashion shows ever held at the Reunification Palace.
This year’s fashion extravaganza was highlighted by an elip-shaped stage, which stretched from the main hall of the palace and featured a catwalk encircling the water tower.
The runway acted as a bridge connecting fashion with Vietnam’s historic heritage.
Over 100 outfits created by Vietnamese designers Luu Viet Anh, Truong Thanh Hai, Ngo Hoang Kha, and Indonesian designer Peggy Hartanto were showcased at the event.
All four collections were aimed at promoting sustainable fashion.

Specifically, Anh’s collection was titled ‘The Sculpture,’ which featured comfortable designs, and was spotlighted by a two-meter-long bag.
Hai debuted a collection with outfits made of pieces of fabric stitched together while Hartanto launched ‘Charm,’ which drew inspiration from a festival in Japan where young girls are wished for health and well-being.
Kha wrapped up the show with his ‘The Poem of Milk and Flower’ collection. His designs were produced from eco-friendly materials such as fiber from the waste leaves of pineapple plants, silk, and fabric scraps.
