The People’s Committee of Thu Duc City, an administrative district under Ho Chi Minh City, held a ceremony to inaugurate the Creative Park, which spans over one kilometer along the Saigon River bank, on Saturday night.
The 10-hectare park, stretching from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge, is expected to become the city’s new landmark.
Its opening followed the success of the Saigon Riverside Park, which runs from Ba Son Bridge to Saigon River Tunnel and was put into operation a year ago.
The Creative Park features a 30-meter-long graffiti wall that highlights the dynamism, youthful energy, and creativity of the new generation, said Luu Van Tan, director of the Technical Infrastructure Management Center of Ho Chi Minh City.
The inauguration of the park was seen as a heartfelt tribute to the history and development of the country, in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of national reunification (1975-2025).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hoang Tung, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Thu Duc City and chairman of the People's Committee of the city, said that the Creative Park is a place for honoring cultural and historical values in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area.
Visiting the park, visitors will be treated to a range of modern amenities, including a multipurpose sports area, a skateboarding rink, pickleball courts, and international standard sanitation facilities.
The Thu Duc administration expects the park to become an ideal destination for residents and tourists, and a venue for creative programs and events.
The Creative Park opened after two months of construction financed by Son Kim Group and some firms in Thu Duc.
