Throngs of young people are visiting Nam Son Pagoda in Hoa Vang District under Da Nang City, located in central Vietnam, due to its architectural elegance for their Tet-themed photo albums.

The 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, or Tet, draws near, so a large crowd, especially the youth, starts to dash to renowned and charming sites hoping to capture cherished moments with friends and family.

The Lunar New Year holiday is the biggest festival of the year for Vietnamese. Workers are set to enjoy a nine-day break for the 2025 Tet celebration, spanning from January 25 to February 2.

Boasting ancient architecture and a dream-like atmosphere, Nam Son Pagoda is a hotspot for visitors during this period leading up to the holiday.

Featuring red tiled roofs, and enchanting towers with exquisite carvings, the pagoda creates a stunning picture backdrop.

Young people wearing colorful costumes, especially ao dai (traditional Vietnamese gown), are flocking to the pagoda for photoshoots.

Xuan Vi, a 24-year-old resident of Hai Chau District, said that it was the best time for Tet-themed photoshoots due to the sunny and slightly chilly weather.

“Wearing ao dai and taking photos at such a gorgeous pagoda makes me feel the festive vibe. I will post my photos on social media to share my excitement and anticipation before Tet,” Vi said.

Brimming with young people every afternoon, the pagoda becomes colorful thanks to red, yellow, green, and white outfits.

Young women also bring various photo props such as ‘non la’ (iconic Vietnamese conical hat), paper fans, and red envelopes to make their Tet albums stand out with personality.

Le Do Nha Phuong, a 22-year-old resident of Ngu Hanh Son District, shared that she was visiting the pagoda for photoshoots because of its architectural allure and peace.

“Many Tet-themed photos taken at the pagoda have gone viral on social media over the past few days, prompting me and my friends to follow the trend,” he added.

Visitors also make incense offerings to pray for health and happiness in the new year.
