-- The operator of Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line began operating a modern automatic train washing system at the Long Binh depot in Thu Duc City starting Friday. Each train will be cleaned in just 15 minutes using one cubic meter of water, with 2-3 trains washed daily.

-- An official of Hue City confirmed on Friday that the city will develop another wooden promenade along the Perfume River to serve outdoor art performances and leisure activities. The promenade, with a price tag of over VND20 billion (US$787,000), is slated for completion by March 26 this year.

-- Than Tho Lake, a well-known landmark in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, is being transformed into Delight Park Da Lat, a floral and artistic light-themed entertainment park, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on Friday.
