Commuters struggle to get home between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm every day on Nguyen Thai Son Street in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Yesterday was no exception.

Motorbikes and cars traveled chaotically, turning the road into a real mess at rush hour on Monday.

An ocean of vehicles inched from the Nguyen Kiem-Nguyen Thai Son intersection toward Go Vap District.

It took almost 20 minutes to drive from there to the Pham Ngu Lao-Nguyen Thai Son intersection, which normally takes less than two minutes.

Many drivers opted to travel on the sidewalks or in the opposite lane, not patient enough to wait in the crowd.
