-- A high-ranking delegation of Svay Rieng Province in Cambodia visited Long An International Seaport in the namesake province in southern Vietnam on Thursday. Svay Rieng Governor Peng Posa said that the international seaport would be a key bridge for trade between Cambodia and Vietnam.

-- Nha Trang Development Investment JSC will put a wastewater treatment system into trial operation at the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula tourist site in south-central Khanh Hoa Province in February, with the aim of protecting the environment.

-- Vietnamese fishermen rescued 12 foreign sailors on board a Malaysian ship after it sank in the waters off Con Dao Island off Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province in southern Vietnam a few days ago, a local border guard said on Thursday.

-- The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion is calling on eligible individuals to donate blood to help ensure sufficient supply of blood for medical treatment during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has written to district-level administrations and relevant agencies asking them to enhance the management over Cambodian people who are panhandling on city streets. 

-- The northern region is expected to experience cold weather on Friday, while Ho Chi Minh City and several southern regions in Vietnam could encounter intense heat, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius, as per the national weather center's forecast.
