-- Authorities in Kien Giang Province held a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday for key infrastructure projects that will serve the upcoming 2027 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting. The projects, located on Phu Quoc Island, include major upgrades to air, sea, and land transportation networks, along with the development of a multi-functional APEC complex spanning 57 hectares.

-- U.S.-based Pacifico Energy is surveying and developing large-scale offshore wind projects to contribute to Vietnam’s long-term energy security, said Pacifico Energy's founder and CEO Nate Franklin during his Friday meeting with Vietnam’s Party General Secretary To Lam in Hanoi.

-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged Airbus to ramp up investment and deepen its engagement in Vietnam’s aviation industry, supporting the country’s push to expand international air routes and build a robust aviation ecosystem during his meeting with Wouter Van Wersch, executive vice president of Airbus International, in Hanoi on Friday, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has officially allowed electric sightseeing cars to resume operations until June 30 this year, following recent regulatory adjustments, Saigon Public Transport Co. Ltd., the operator of these electric tourist vehicles, confirmed on Friday.
