The French Institute in Vietnam teamed up with Pho Ben Doi (Hillside Town) Creative Studio and the French Institute of Research and Development to open an exhibition showcasing historic posters warning against plastic pollution in Da Lat City on Wednesday.
The exhibition, titled ‘Plastics: Pollution and Solutions,’ is set to last for two months at Pho Ben Doi Creative Studio on the third floor of the Lam Dong Province Children and Youth Culture Center on Ly Tu Trong Street in Da Lat – a famous tourist hub of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
On display at the exhibit is a set of archives, including 18 French-Vietnamese bilingual posters highlighting the lifespan of plastics, from their production to disposal.
The exhibition is expected to cast light on the dangers they pose to animals and the environment.
In an attempt to tackle the huge volume of plastic waste, Vietnam's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has issued regulations on extended producer responsibility to monitor plastic waste management, minimize waste disposal, and optimize waste treatment systems.
