Jisoo, a member of K-pop girl band BlackPink, has donated all the proceeds from her YouTube channel to Save the Children to fund a mangrove forest creation project in Ca Mau Province, southern Vietnam, according to South Korean media.
Founded in the UK in 1919, Save the Children, an international, non-governmental organization, aims to help improve the lives of children worldwide.
Jisoo’s YouTube channel is followed by nearly five million people.
In January last year, she created a YouTube channel named Happiness Jisoo 103%.
The launch of the channel was aimed at donating the entire gains from there to charity.
“I hope my donations will be transferred to places in need, and happiness among people will increase,” she said.
One year after its launch, Jisoo accomplished her goal to make a donation to charity.
The channel Happiness Jisoo 103% is expected to continue to help her do good deeds.
Jisoo announced the establishment of her own label named Blissoo in February to direct her career and manage her individual activities.
She is focusing on her independent career path by building her own label and joining some films.
As of the end of 2023, Jisoo had confirmed her participation in two films.
Jisoo, whose real name is Kim Ji Soo, was born on January 3, 1995.
Apart from being a member of the renowned K-pop girl group, Jisoo is also a soloist, actress, and emcee.
BlackPink held a two-night concert at My Dinh National Stadium in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi in July last year, as part of the girl group’s worldwide tour entitled ‘Born Pink World Tour.'
