A photo exhibition organized in Japan this week brought visitors dozens of artworks on the beauty of Vietnam.
Entitled “Viet Nam Hoa Binh” (Peaceful Vietnam), the display was held at the Tokyo International Forum on Thursday.
It featured 60 snapshots taken by Vietnamese photographers, depicting the stunning landscapes of the Southeast Asian country.
“Through these stories in pictures, we hope to welcome Japanese friends to Vietnam to experience more fully the hospitality of a beautiful and emerging country,” Tang Huu Phong, editor-in-chief of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, said during the opening ceremony.
The gallery was part of the music program ‘Tuoi Tre Viet Nam – Cau Chuyen Hoa Binh’ (Vietnamese Youth – The Story of Peace) produced by Tuoi Tre and the Vietnam National Union of Students Central Committee.
Organized for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City in 2014, ‘The Story of Peace’ is an annual community music program that honors patriotism and the love for peace held by the Vietnamese people.
This year’s event marked the first time the program had been organized outside of Vietnam. The first three editions were held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
