Police in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City are investigating the cause of the death of an Egyptian man at a rented house in Binh Thanh District.

On Wednesday morning, V.T.N.H., a 35-year-old resident of District 1, arrived at a mosque in Phu Nhuan District carrying a large bag with the intention of praying for the deceased.

However, H. later confessed to some mosque employees that the individual in the bag had already passed away.

Therefore, these worshipers reported the case to the police agency of Ward 15 in Phu Nhuan District.

Police officers identified the deceased as Ali A., a 63-year-old Egyptian.

H. acknowledged that upon finding Ali deceased, she enlisted the help of another woman, aged 37 and residing in Tan Phu District, to transport his body to the mosque.

Her intention was to request the mosque workers to arrange for his burial.
