With their creativity and deftness, children in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City turned waste into impressive costumes with an effort to spread their message of environmental protection.
These outfits made out of trash were showcased at the sixth ‘Green Living Day’ event at Hoang Van Thu Park in the district on Sunday.
The event, centered around ‘I Love My City - A Green City,’ was aimed at raising awareness of environmental protection among children, while encouraging them to actively engage in multiple environmental protection activities to beautify their living and working places as well as public venues, said an official.
Within the framework of the event, a fashion contest highlighted attire made out of plastic bags, empty bottles, paper, newspapers, and bottle caps by children in the district.
