The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has worked with Unilever Vietnam to launch a program where participants can share with each other photos that feature tourism, shopping, and dining spots around the country.

The My Kool Vietnam project will create conditions for local youths to realize their desire to explore the country’s tourism spots and share them with others, the organizers said at the launch ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday.

The program will last for three months during the summer, and participants only have to install an application called Kool Vietnam on their smartphone, using either Android or the iOS operating system, to become a Kool Hunter.

The Kool Hunter can use the app to take photos of the interesting places they travel to, or where they go shopping, eating, and entertaining at to share with others in the Kool Vietnam network.

All contributions will help form a digital map on the program website, www.mykoolvietnam.vn.

Unilever Vietnam’s vice president, Tran Vu Hoai, expressed his hope that the program will help promote Vietnam’s beautiful landscapes and cultural values.

Le Van Hung, acting director of the HCMC representative office of the VNAT, also said the project will help international tourists learn more about Vietnamese tourism.
