Tempest, the K-pop group featuring Vietnamese member Hanbin, has announced Ho Chi Minh City as the location for the debut live concert for their world tour, with only one performance scheduled for June 15 at Phu Tho Indoor Stadium.
The live concert is set to kick off the group’s first world tour called World Premier: The First Eve Live 2024 Tempest Concert [T-Our: Tempest Voyage].
Most K-pop bands organize debut live concerts in their homeland, but Tempest is the first South Korean group to choose Vietnam as the maiden destination of its debut world tour.
This will be the second time Tempest has visited Vietnam.
In December last year, Tempest performed for thousands of Vietnamese fans at the Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival, or HOZO 2023.
After their performance, songwriter Huy Tuan and Beyond Entertainment & Communication were selected to produce the group’s debut concert for their world tour.
Songwriter Tuan said that he hopes that the success of Tempest’s debut live concert will contribute to driving up Vietnam’s music industry and spurring the country’s international integration.
Founded in March 2022, Tempest is composed of seven members, including Vietnamese member Hanbin.

Born in Yen Bai Province, northern Vietnam in 1998, Hanbin, whose real name is Ngo Ngoc Hung, graduated in marketing from Thuongmai University in Hanoi.
Since the group’s debut two years ago, Tempest has obtained several achievements and won prizes for new groups and potential bands at prestigious music awards in South Korea such as Genie Music Awards 2022, Asia Artist Award 2022, Seoul Music Awards 2023, Hanteo Music Awards 2022, and MAMA 2023.
Tickets for Tempest’s live concert in Ho Chi Minh City will be put on sale on May 11.
