-- Romania always considers Vietnam its most important partner in Southeast Asia and wishes to further develop the cooperation with Vietnam in all sectors, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said during a reception in Bucharest on Monday for Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh who paid a state visit to the European country between Saturday last week and Monday this week.

-- Police in Quang Tri Province, located in north-central Vietnam said on Monday that they were completing procedures to punish a 43-year-old man who was caught transporting a live tiger measuring 200 kilograms on Friday evening. The man told the police that he was transporting the tiger for VND3 million (US$121.5).

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has proposed developing six more parks to increase green space in the city.

-- An 18-year-old student in Phu Tho Province in northern Vietnam had his motorbike seized and was fined VND7.5 million ($303.8) for letting go of both hands and using his leg to control the motorbike, the provincial police said on Monday.
